Maureen Parker is a board certified adult nurse practitioner with over 25 years experience in adult and geriatric medicine and nursing. During the course of her career, she has worked in palliative care, cardiology, internal medicine, family practice, functional medicine and the veterans administration. Prior to her career as a nurse practitioner, she enjoyed her years as a nurse working primarily as an emergency room and intensive care unit nurse. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, she holds a BSN from Loretto Heights College and a certificate from Metropolitan State College. She has pursued additional pharmacology course work through the University of Pennsylvania and Pacific Lutheran University. Other continuing education includes course work through the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Institute. She continues to engage in her education through graduate course work at the Aspen University MSN program and Regis Universities MSN program. Her interests include nutrition, integrative medicine and functional medicine.
Maureen is a compassionate and competent nurse practitioner who believes that a holistic approach to the individual provides the best outcome. Recognizing that people are mind, body and spirit, and attention to these details provides the best outcome for patients. Her goal is to create a trusting relationship with each patient by taking the time to listen and understand each individual patient.
She has lived and practiced in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah and Pennsylvania and is pleased to have returned to her home state of Colorado to work with Colorado Primary Health Care, and Dr Fine.
In her free time, she continues to work on her education, and enjoys yoga, hiking, skiing, art, knitting, gardening, reading and the beauty of the great outdoors.
